LadyCats Rack Up Victory #2

LadyCats 77 - Graford 48

The Newcastle LadyCats continued their torrid scoring pace with a very lopsided 77 to 48 victory over the Graford Lady Rabbits Friday night! The LadyCats scurry up and down the court and never let up on their opponents. Their defense is in-your-face and depend on those turnovers for quick easy baskets. And this game was much better in one aspect than Tuesday night's opener in Midway - only two LadyCats ended up in foul trouble!

Leading scorer for the LadyCats Friday night was Ms. Haily "Junebug" Kramer with 27 strong points. It was one of those nights for Haily and she just kept pouring them in. Tara Evans was next with 14 points and Kimberly Bell and Amy Clayborn added 12 each! Amy was an impressive 6 for 8 from the free throw line.

The LadyCats are taking a Tuesday off this week in preparation for a return visit to Graford for the Graford Tournament and I would bet that Friday night's game lands the LadyCats in the opposite bracket from the Lady Rabbits facing a real challenge from someone! Creation of the bracket is one of the advantages of the hosting school and I would bet that the Lady Rabbits do not look forward to such a quick return engagement with the LadyCats.
