My name is Teresa Koonsman.  This is my 12th year to teach for the Newcastle ISD.  I make my home in Throckmorton, TX.  I have been married to my husband, Randy for nearly ten years.  We have been blessed with three very unique children. Austin is 8, Taylor is 5, and Sydnee (AKA THE PRINCESS) is 3.

I grew up in Southeastern Colorado.  My parents, grandmother, and aunt still reside there.  My older brother is a Vocational Agriculture Teacher in Verden, OK.  He blessed our family with three wonderful boys.  My younger brother (not biological) resides in Southeastern Colorado. I received my BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University in 1997.  I earned (and do I mean earned) my Master's Degree in General Counseling from Midwestern State University in 2004.

I have really enjoyed teaching in Newcastle.  Each year brings a new and exciting adventure.  I love the stories the kids come to school and share.  I do not believe all of the stories, so I hope you will not believe all they come home and tell you!

Thanks for allowing me to teach your child!
